High Solids , Water-Borne, Self-Crosslinking Polyamide Polyurethane Dispersion.

Aptalon™ 8080HS is a high solids, waterborne, one component, self-crosslinking polyamide polyol polyurethane dispersion with a high bio-based* content designed for clear wood finishes. The state of the art, self-crosslinking mechanism cures as the wet film dries enabling it to develop hardness rapidly for excellent chemical resistance, mar, and scuff resistance. Aptalon™ 8080HS’s ability to perform without adding cross-linkers simplifies and lowers the risks of application associated with 2K systems, while also reducing waste. If desired, external crosslinkers can be added to Aptalon™ 8080HS to further improve properties, such as hardness and chemical resistance. Additionally, the high solids content of Aptalon™ 8080HS allows thicker films to be applied per application reducing the number of applications needed to achieve optimal performance. This translates into the elimination of application labor steps, reduced job cost, and faster return to service. *35% Biobased Carbon Content (as a fraction of total organic carbon).
