Schercodine™ S (flaked) amido-amine is a cationic surfactant. It is an effective conditioner in hair and skin care products. Schercodine S (flaked) amido-amine is a flaked solid tertiary amine. It is used in pH 3.4-4.4 formulation as quaternary ammonium salt as a conditioner. It is used to replace quaternary cationic surfactants in rinse-off conditioners. It provides excellent wet combing and wet sensory. Common protonating acids are lactic, aspartic, citric and glutamic acids.

Recommended Use level: Recommended use level of 0.2-2.2 wt%. Typically used at 0.2-0.3 wt% in conditioner formulations, using an acid to adjust pH to 3.4 - 4.4. Used with a cationic conditioning polymer and fatty alcohol. Common acids are lactic, aspartic, citric and gluta
