Focus: Procuring biotechnological libraries and developing bioprocesses to produce new active ingredients for personal care.
Recent accomplishments: Recently concluded a project to isolate and culture an extremophile microorganism found only in highly saline marine environments and then purify the active ingredient in compliance with cost and scale-up restrictions. The active ingredient eventually will be used as a skin beauty booster.
