Lubrizol Life Science-Beauty, with Lipotec™ Active Ingredients, has collaborated with world-renowned scientist Dr. Samuel Sánchez of the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), Barcelona to learn from scientific discoveries for consumer benefit. LLS-Beauty’s work is rooted in science and our team is continuously looking for new ways to incorporate the latest scientific breakthroughs into our ingredients and formulations.
Specifically, through the partnership with Dr. Sánchez, he recently utilized 3D bioprinting to create biological tissue that perfectly mimics a muscle. It can contract, relax and even be aged, replacing a more limited 2D model traditionally used in research. With the findings from this 3D model, the LLS-Beauty team was able to gain beneficial insights that were used in investigating new ideas, including the soon to be launched next generation of Argireline® peptide.
