TempRite® Engineered Materials CPVC exhibits exceptional flame and smoke performance. Our compounds consistently meet the requirements of UL 94 for both V-0 and 5VA performance.
Our products have a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 60, meaning that it requires 60% oxygen in the air to sustain a flame. Standard PVC materials have an LOI of 45. This means that applications where traditional vinyl materials were not acceptable due to poor flame and smoke performance are now accessible with TempRite Engineered Materials.
In addition, TempRite Engineered Materials resins may help to enhance the flame and smoke properties of your existing materials.
