Employee Volunteering

Lubrizol is committed to ethical behavior, economic and environmental sustainability and the welfare of our employees and the communities in which we operate. We are committed to honesty and integrity in all that we do.

Active community support began with our founders. We continue their work by providing dollars, materials and people to various educational, cultural and charitable organizations. This includes many charitable outreach efforts where employees apply their individual skills as they assist local organizations. Some recent projects include:

Supporting Needy Children – Indonesia

Lubrizol Indonesia employees shared their affection and support as they helped educate needy children in Indonesia by teaching and providing teaching aids.

Habitat for Humanity – Texas, US

The Texas Lubrizol facilities were proud to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity as they helped the community in which they live and work.  

LZAM Planting Trees – Bhavale, South Asia

The LZAM (Lubrizol Advanced Materials) South Asia team took part in a plantation drive in Bhavale to benefit Hariyali, a non-governmental organization that protects and upgrades environmental conditions. 

Lubrizol’s United Way campaign raised more than $1 million for the third consecutive year

The Lubrizol Foundation matched employee donations, and the corporation provided additional support.

Lubrizol provides ongoing support for schools:

• Lubrizol employees tutor students
• Lubrizol honors teachers with the Lake County STEM Teacher Award
• Lubrizol employees participate in school projects around the world
• Lubrizol sponsors teachers for professional development
• Lubrizol hosts teachers at our facilities so that they learn about us and discuss our sustainable business practices
• Lubrizol holds student-focused programs with students visiting our facilities to explore chemistry and global business operations.

Lubrizol provides disaster relief programs, and our employees around the world donate their money and time to aid the people affected by catastrophes.
