Women In Lubrizol Leadership WILL

WILL Hosts Networking Event for Career Development

On February 13, 2013, the Brecksville Women In Lubrizol Leadership (WILL) team hosted an event in the auditorium to showcase the WILL program and provide an opportunity for networking. About 50 women attended from various Lubrizol sites, including Avon Lake, Bowling Green, Brecksville and Wickliffe.

John King, vice president information solutions and business processes, who serves as WILL's executive sponsor, opened the program. King remarked that WILL is a valuable support system for women at Lubrizol who want to develop their experience and skills. He likened the benefits of a support network for career development to the benefits of driving with a friend (instead of alone) through rush-hour traffic.

Nancy Ronsko, leader of the Brecksville WILL team, discussed the structure of WILL and its mission to:

  • Focus on professional and leadership development of women;
  • Build the capacity of senior women leaders; and
  • Contribute to the global success of Lubrizol.

She then gave an overview of the Brecksville programs scheduled for 2013, which include informal book discussions, seminars on gender speak and presentation skills and a review of LZAM business strategies. Michelle Graf, leader of the Wickliffe WILL team, followed with a presentation of the Wickliffe programs scheduled for 2013, which include mentoring circles, panel discussions, business etiquette and the women's leadership conference. Lisa Wagoner and Angel Campbell, leaders for the WILL teams in Avon Lake and Bowling Green, respectively, also attended the event.
