Community Relations

For many decades, Lubrizol Montmeló has maintained open communications and a good relationship with the local communities and neighboring towns’ authorities by participating in the industrial state’s community meetings and promoting educational and social activities in the area, the most recent being the yearly, educational guiding tours on chemistry and science for students from the local Montmeló college.

Lubrizol Montmeló hires and trains intern students from local and nearby schools and universities. Moreover, Lubrizol Montmeló participates in several charity activities every year, resulting in funds for local NGO and hospitals

Interesting Facts

 Lubrizol Advanced Materials Spain S.L. was previously known as Merquinsa, a world leader in specialty thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) and was acquired by Lubrizol in November 2011. The acquisition by Lubrizol extended the Estane® Engineered Polymers business unit and brought an expanded product portfolio driven by innovative technologies commercialized under the Pearlthane™ and Pearlcoat™ brand names; as well as Pearlstick™ and Pearlbond™ TPU product ranges for adhesives.

The companies’ product lines are now fully integrated under Lubrizol's Engineered Polymer business.
