CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Lubrizol Engineered Polymers announces the launch of a new non-halogenated, flame retardant grade which combines excellent performance and a regulatory-compliant solution for wire and cable applications. New ESTANE ZHF 90AM9 NAT 01 TPU, made without the use of halogens, has improved key performance attributes compared to standard materials on the market today. This innovative new option complies with the certification specified below, making it a full, one-stop solution versus other resins available today which offer only a partial solution when meeting customer and certification demands.
UV-stabilized ESTANE ZHF 90AM9 NAT 01 TPU is VDE 282, an innovative new option which has UL 94 V-0 and UL 105°C temperature ratings. It is a differentiated solution with very high mechanicals, excellent flame retardant properties, and good surface aesthetics. Additionally, the new offering passes Cable Flame Test (according to UL-1581, Sec. 1061) on small diameter cables with a proven use case down to 8 mm. diameter. It is now possible for one material to combine the necessary key features that wire and cable applications need, to be durable and high performing.
