To support this evolution, Lubrizol introduces its dedicated INXG5100 and INXG5000 lubricant series, specifically engineered for R32 refrigerant scroll compressor applications.

With the implementation of new refrigerant regulations in China and the ongoing phase-out of high-GWP refrigerants, R32 has emerged as a preferred choice for residential and light commercial air-conditioning systems due to its significantly lower GWP of 675, reduced refrigerant charge requirements, and superior energy efficiency. However, the adoption of R32 also introduces new lubrication challenges. Its higher discharge temperatures and limited compatibility with conventional polyol ester (POE) lubricants can lead to oil separation, poor oil return, viscosity loss, and compromised system reliability.

To address these challenges, Lubrizol has optimized lubricant performance at the molecular level, enhancing refrigerant compatibility, high-temperature viscosity retention, and thermo-chemical stability.

The INXG5100 Series is specifically designed for high-pressure chamber scroll compressors, delivering excellent refrigerant compatibility across a wide operating temperature range and superior high-temperature stability. These properties help ensure efficient oil return, reduce wear, and maintain long-term compressor performance.
The INXG5000 Series is tailored for low-pressure chamber scroll compressors, offering robust performance while optimizing overall system cost. The series is particularly well suited for medium and large commercial HVAC applications where both efficiency and economic considerations are critical.
