CLEVELAND, Ohio, September 19, 2023 – Lubrizol Engineered Polymers announces that Bjorn Thorsen, its distributor in the United Kingdom and Nordic countries, will be showcasing ESTANE^® EV thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and sustainable polymer solutions at their booth at Interplas UK, September 26-28, 2023, in Birmingham.

Lubrizol Engineered Polymers has developed new material solutions to meet the growing sustainability requirements of selected markets with innovative polymers that have up to 50% lower carbon footprint, and deliver high-performance attributes (like high mechanical and hydrolysis resistance) to the end product like our standard ESTANE^® solutions. These specialty polymers are now available in the UK market through Bjorn Thorsen.

And the innovative ESTANE EV portfolio will also be highlighted at the booth. ESTANE EV TPUs are plasticizer-free, non-halogenated flame retardant materials that enable the high performance of electric vehicle charging cables.

At the trade show, Bjorn Thorsen will be sharing information on the new sustainable solutions from Lubrizol Engineered Polymers, including the recent development of a biomass balanced polymer solution: ESTANE RNW specialty TPU with the same performance as our ESTANE TPU resin but with total or partial bio carbon attribution. This new portfolio will further support sustainability in industries such as mobility.
