Focus: Developing new polymers to meet customers’ needs and improve Lubrizol product offerings.

Recent accomplishment: Developing Carbopol^® Aqua SF-3, a new polymer released this year. This rheology modifier offers low viscosity with unprecedented suspension for foaming products. Also assisted in the development of the Carbopol SMART Polymers platform.

“Joe is a brilliant chemist – curious, intelligent, hard-working and always challenging himself to excel,” said Sinan Li, technology manager of rheology. “In a short period of time in Lubrizol, he has already made significant contributions to new product development and problem solving for existing liquid rheology platform technologies. His expertise has been recognized by cross-functional teams, including commercial, operation and application. Joe is an excellent member on the rheology team.”
