Corporate Vice President, Business Development and Consumer Insights
Deb Langer is corporate vice president, business development and consumer insights for The Lubrizol Corporation. She joined Lubrizol in 1993 and has held various positions within Lubrizol Additives and Lubrizol Advanced Materials, including those in global business management for engine oils and Estane® TPU, global technology management for fuels, corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as leadership of the company's LifeSciences business. Most recently, Ms. Langer was vice president and general manager of the company's Personal, Home and Healthcare business. Prior to joining Lubrizol, she worked at Eli Lilly and Company where she worked on the design and scale-up of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Ms. Langer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. She holds 15 patents and has authored or co-authored 12 papers on specialized low emission fuels and engine oil products, which earned her the R&D 100 Award and the Nortec Innovation award for novel commercialized products. Additionally, Ms. Langer chairs the Industrial Advisory Board for the school of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University and volunteers teaching science and engineering to middle school students.
