Lubrizol Announces Asia Pacific Leadership Appointments

<p>New executives further the company’s talented in-region leadership team and local-for-local growth strategy  </p>

As part of its growth commitment in Asia Pacific (APAC), Lubrizol is pleased to announce several key appointments to its regional leadership team. In addition to regional talent investment, Lubrizol continues to bolster its APAC footprint and capabilities, augmenting the company’s current capacity, commercial and technical capabilities. This includes investment in local-for-local technology development to deliver differentiated regional solutions. Among its recent commitments, the company has expanded capacity at several sites in region, initiated work on a Shanghai-based skincare research center, built a Future Mobility Center of Excellence and is bolstering regional supply and R&D investment.

Vice President, Lubrizol Asia Pacific

Henry Liu (刘茂树) has been appointed to Lubrizol Vice President, Asia Pacific. In this role, Henry will lead Lubrizol’s pan-company Asia Pacific management team to identify, evaluate and execute strategies to deliver differential regional growth, based on a local-for-local approach.  

Henry brings extensive experience leading business groups in multinational corporations to establish strong market positions while delivering profitable growth. He has led businesses that supply to Automotive, Chemical and Oil & Gas industries, with a focus on transforming both the employee and customer experience. Most recently, Henry was vice president and general manager of Honeywell Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in science from South China University of Technology.  

Vice President, Lubrizol Additives Asia Pacific

Ping Zhu(朱萍)has been appointed as Vice President, Lubrizol Additives APAC.  In this role, Ping will propel growth for the company’s Additives’ business, serving transportation and industrial markets, and drive opportunities for customers across the region. 

Ping brings nearly 30 years of experience in technical and commercial roles across Lubrizol’s Additive business, including R&D, chemical regulations, and product management. Most recently, Ping served as Senior Technology Director, Lubrizol Additives APAC. Externally, she has served on boards for National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) and Asia F+L Week. Ping holds a Bachelor of Science degree in polymer science from Nanjing University in China, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, and an MBA from Cleveland State University.

These appointments continue Lubrizol’s commitment to the Asia Pacific region, where the company has operated for 65 years. Lubrizol’s employees work from offices, manufacturing facilities and technical service centers across the region, serving customers in a multitude of industries.
