Formulated Coating for Inkjet Printing on Films

PrintRite™ DP 338E is a waterborne digital ink receptive topcoat for applications on polyester and polyolefin films. It is designed for waterborne pigment inkjet printing and also demonstrates print compatibility with a variety of ink technologies. With a matte opaque finish, PrintRite™ DP 338E provides high image quality and instant ink drying. The product is able to withstand prolonged water soak tests, wet rub tests and when printed with water-based pigment inkjet inks is capable of passing BS5609, a testing requirement for self- adhesive drum labels needing International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Certification. PrintRite™ DP 338E offers an excellent balance of properties that enables digital inkjet printing to challenge traditional thermal transfer applications in both performance and total cost to print. Typical applications include chemical drum labels, matte opaque labels, and graphic arts. The topcoat is designed to be applied by rod or gravure coating methods. We recommend a starting dry coat weight of 15 to 25 grams/square meter. .
