Vinylidene Chloride Emulsion

Permax® 806 is an APE-free, low VOC, small particle size vinylidene chloride acrylate copolymer emulsion that has extremely low moisture vapor permeability, good adhesion over a variety of metal substrates and excellent corrosion resistance. Owing to specially designed composition and process control, Permax 806 exhibits significantly better storage stability than traditional vinylidene chloride containing polymer emulsions. Primers formulated with Permax 806 emulsion can be top coated with conventional acrylic or urethane topcoats for exceptional durability and further improved corrosion resistance. Permax 806 can also be formulated to make flame-retardant coatings owing to the high chlorine content of this emulsion.
