CONTRAM™ CB products are concentrated metalworking fluid system cleaners designed for use during the process of fluid disposal and re-charge. These products are combinations of effective bactericides and fungicides with alkaline builders, surfactants and surface-active agents that will provide a complete package for cleaning and disinfecting systems to avoid problematic microbial contamination in the new fluid charge.

Proper application of system cleaners will help to prevent the re-emergence of microbial contamination challenges in the new metalworking fluid dilution and will facilitate a cleaner, more productive workplace.

Recommended Use Directions

CONTRAM CB products are recommended for addition to in-use metalworking fluid dilutions prior to fluid disposal.

CONTRAM CB products should be added at 0.5-2.0% based on the total diluted fluid volume, depending on the extent of microbial and other contamination in the system. Refer to specific treat rate guidance for the particular CONTRAM CB product being used.

Following addition of CONTRAM CB, machining operations can continue without interruption. A minimum circulation time of eight hours is recommended to ensure effective performance. Prior to re-charging the system with new fluid, the system should be flushed thoroughly to ensure complete removal of contaminants loosened in the cleaning process.
