Granulated AMPS® Monomer

AMPS GranulatedLubrizol offers a granular form of AMPS® monomer to replace the powder version of the product. The major benefits of the granular form include:

  1. Reduction of dust emissions in the air, resulting in better worker safety and reduced plant maintenance.
  2. Little or no agglomeration, eliminating clumping and making it easy for customers to transfer.

Since granulation is a post-reaction step, the AMPS monomer chemistry will be unchanged, and customers will not need to re-qualify. The granular change affects only the acid form of AMPS monomer; we continue to offer the salt form in aqueous solutions.

AMPS 2401 Monomer

Suggested Applications:

  • Any AMPS monomer polymerization where low molecular weight (less than two million) is desired
  • Suggested end uses for polymers formulated with AMPS 2401 monomer:
