Schercomid™ SLL - Extra Fatty Acid Diethanolamide

Schercomid™ SLL fatty acid diethanolamide is a good water-in-oil emulsifier and stabilizer for oil-in-water emulsions with a unique combination of properties which makes it an important component in shampoos and cosmetic preparations.

Schercomid SLL imparts substantivity to such preparations and contributes to their conditioning and emolliency effects.

Schercomid SLL has a relatively low cloud point and is therefore a liquid at room temperature, which permits easy handling. It forms stable water-in-oil emulsions, even with aliphatic hydrocarbons such as mineral spirits. The superior thickening properties of Schercomid SLL make it suitable as an emulsion stabilizer for oil-in-water emulsions when using ethoxylated alkyl-phenols or ethoxylated aliphatic alcohols as the prime emulsifier.
