In household and industrial applications Schercomid SL-Extra alkanolamide is employed in manual dishwashing formulations, liquid heavy-duty laundry detergents, liquid soaps, and all-purpose cleaning products.

Schercomid SL-Extra alkanolamide is a good emulsifier for aliphatic, aromatic hydrocarbons and oils for oil-in-water emulsions.
