Merquat™ 280SD Polymer

Merquat™ 280SD polymer is a dry copolymer that demonstrates ampholytic characteristics. Merquat™ 280SD polymer has excellent stability in extreme pH applications making it ideally suited for use in products for dry or chemically treated hair. Merquat™ 280 polymer is also recommended for ethnic hair care as well as skin care applications.

Hair Care Products

Relaxers, Bleaches, Dyes, Shampoos, Conditioners, Styling Products and Permanent Waves:

• Does not adversely affect the mechanism of hair color

• Suggested starting concentration:
• 0.4% as-supplied in shampoo and conditioner
• 1.2% as-supplied in other formulations

Moisturizing Creams, Lotions, Bath Gels, Liquid Soaps, Soap Bars, Shaving Products, Antiperspirants and Deodorants:

• Imparts a smooth, velvety feel; reduces tightness after drying skin
