Ultracas™ G-20 Guerbet Ester

Ultracas™ G-20 Guerbet Ester is a specialty emollient, prepared through the esterification of pale, pressed castor oil with a C-20 Guerbet alcohol.

Ultracas G-20 Guerbet Ester is a liquid emollient that provides emollient properties and gloss to formulations without adding tackiness.

Ultracas G-20 Guerbet Ester is recommended for use in skin care formulations, such as creams, lotions and ointments. It is also recommended for use in cleansers and shower gels for very dry skin where it confers perceptible emolliency. It is suitable for inclusion in products such as barrier creams, mild cleansers, make-up removers, bath oils, baby products and formulations designed for sensitive skin.

Ultracas G-20 Guerbet Ester can be used in lipsticks and lip glosses as a component of the oil phase. Unlike castor oil, Ultracas G-20 Guerbet Ester does not oxidize and result in bitter taste in lipsticks and balms. It is an excellent pigment dispersant and can be used to increase the level of pigment loading or to create stable pigment dispersion for color cosmetics. When used in lipsticks and balms, Ultracas G-20 Guerbet Ester provides improved spreadability, gloss and emolliency.

Ultracas G-20 Guerbet Ester confers exceptional shine when used in moisturizing hair creams for ethnic hair. It may also have utility as a component of conditioners and hairdressings where it can add shine, body and convey a healthy appearance to the hair.
