Schercomid™ SLE Fatty Acid Diethanolamide

Schercomid™ SLE fatty acid diethanolamide is a superamide with a unique combination of properties which makes it an important component in shampoos and cosmetic preparations.

Schercomid SLE imparts substantivity to such preparations and contributes to their conditioning and emolliency effects.

Schercomid SLE has a relatively low cloud point and is therefore a liquid at room temperature, which permits easy handling. It forms stable water-in-oil emulsions, even with aliphatic hydrocarbons such as mineral spirits. The superior thickening properties of Schercomid SLE make it suitable as an emulsion stabilizer for oil-in-water emulsions when using ethoxylated alkyl-phenols or ethoxylated aliphatic alcohols as the prime emulsifier.
