Carbopol® 980 polymer is a crosslinked polyacrylate polymer and offers performance properties similar to the industry standard Carbopol® 940 polymer.
Carbopol 980 polymer is sometimes preferred since it is polymerized in a cosolvent system. Suggested applications include clear gels, hydroalcoholic gels, creams and shampoos. Carbopol®Ultrez 10 polymer and Carbopol® Ultrez 21 polymer also feature similar performance with even broader application possibilities and superior ease of dispersion.
