Carbopol® 1382 Polymer

Developed as toxicologically preferred alternative to Carbopol® 1342 polymer, Carbopol 1382 polymer is polymerized in a blend of ethyl acetate and cyclohexane solvents and can be expected to deliver the same suspending and stabilizing characteristics of Carbopol 1342 polymer.

Carbopol 1382 polymer is an effective suspending and stabilizing agent for use in specialty shampoos, where dandruff actives must be permanently suspended and immiscible conditioning agents must be effectively stabilized. It is also a excellent thickener and light gellant for systems containing electrolytes, anionic and amphoteric surfactants and ethyl or isopropyl alcohols. Suggested applications include antidandruff shampoos, "2-in-1" conditioning shampoos, bath and shower gels, and hydroalcoholic sunscreen and fragrance gels.

Carbopol^® ETD 2020 polymer is the easy-to-disperse version of Carbopol 1382 polymer.
