Description

This non-occlusive, novel barrier lotion features Pemulen® TR-1 Polymer for easy cold process emulsification along with Carbopol® Ultrez 10 Polymer for thickening. The barrier properties provide extra skin protection in harsh conditions. Schercemol™ DIA and CO Esters provide slip during the application phase, while Schercemol™ DID Ester helps transition to the heavier barrier properties of Schercemol™ DISF Ester. Hydramol™ PGPD Ester has multiple functions in this formula: it behaves as an emulsifier, it provides emolliency before the emulsion even breaks, and because of its solubility properties allows this formulation to easily be removed with washing. Glucam™ E-20 Humectant is an effective humectant and moisturizer, retarding excessive water loss at the skin-product interface as well as reducing water loss from creams and lotions.
