Robert T. Graf is corporate vice president, research and development of The Lubrizol Corporation. He joined Lubrizol in 1985 and has held a variety of technical management roles throughout Lubrizol including a two-year assignment with GE-Lubrizol, a joint venture company. In 2001 he was appointed division head of Lubrizol’s North American R&D and testing, and in 2004, he was named vice president of research and development for Lubrizol Additives. In September, 2008, Dr. Graf was elected to his current position.
Dr. Graf earned his Doctorate and Master of Science degrees in macromolecular science and engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1985 and 1983 respectively, and his Bachelor of Science in polymer science from the Pennsylvania State University in 1980. He serves on the board of directors for the Great Lakes Science Center and the advisory committees to Case Western Reserve University and the Fenn College of Engineering at Cleveland State University. He also serves as a trustee of The Lubrizol Foundation.
