Lubrizol^® 86GR is the latest generation of calcium sulfonate technology for manufacturing water-resistant greases. As a modified 400 TBN overbased calcium synthetic sulfonate, Lubrizol 86GR converts into a gel in two to three hours, without the addition of other acids or bases. This stable chemistry gels predictably, requiring only the addition of water in a robust procedure, for faster, reproducible batch processing.
