Solid Polymers
Solid polymers for lubricants offer a lower treat rate versus liquid polymers. These polymers help to restrict bleed and improve water resistance.
Lubrizol® 2019 Olefin Copolymer (OCP)
- Semi crystalline pellet
- Easy solubilization
- Good shear stability
Lubrizol® 7306 and Lubrizol® 7308 Styrene-Isoprene (SIP)
- Enhanced water resistance
- Dramatic reduction in oil separation or bleed tendencies
- Less detrimental to low temperature flow properties versus OCP-type polymers
Lubrizol® 7408A Styrene Butadiene (SBR)
- Easier solubilization than SIP
- Increased thermal stability versus SIP and OCP
Lubrizol® 7460 Polymer Composite
- A Lubrizol patented technology that blends two distinct polymer types to achieve a unique synergistic effect. Polymer shear stability and water spray-off properties are improved versus the individual polymers.
