Pellethane™ TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes)

Pellethane™ TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) elastomers range from hard to soft and can be fabricated by a variety of methods from injection molding to extrusion to blow molding. These elastomers offer a combination of properties rarely seen in an engineering thermoplastic. Whether you need clarity and abrasion resistance, tensile strength and chemical resistance, or any other combination of properties, Pellethane TPU elastomers are an excellent choice.

Pellethane TPU elastomers offer several advantages over most thermoset materials. For example, Pellethane TPU elastomers allow you to achieve faster cycle times than most thermosets, and could be more cost-effective overall.

For automotive applications, Pellethane TPU elastomers offer a combination of performance properties, including chemical resistance and low temperature impact resistance. Parts fabricated from Pellethane TPU elastomers can be painted without primers, using polyurethane and acrylic enamels or water-based elastomeric paints.
