Applications
- House Wrap / Roof Under Layer - TPU laminated to a substrate provides a water barrier while allowing vapor to go through. Excellent tear and abrasion resistance protect the structure. One of the advantages is that TPU film is monolithic, compared to microporous film, unaffected by washing agents or coatings used in the building materials. Some of these coatings or washing agents, when coming into contact with the film, could make the microporous film ineffective by allowing water to go through or blocking the pores and making the product non-breathable. A problem either way.
- Automotive - Estane TPU is ideal because of its durable, lightweight, and scratch resistant. It can be used as a replacement for metals in side moldings and body moldings.
- Technology - Estane TPU can be found in personal technology devices from the touch screens to hand held covers where abrasion resistance and exceptional toughness is key. Ideal for the consumer goods market Estane TPU provides soft touch, barriers to moisture, adhesion, colorability, and transparency for fabrics and other end uses.
