Vacuum Bagging

As a technique to assist in the lamination of bent windshields, the above diagram shows to pull the bagging film over the edge of the laminate and allow the film to "wrinkle". This technique will allow the polycarbonate to expand and contract during the autoclaving without creating additional and unnecessary stress at these optically critical points.
