Soft Elastic

Soft elastic Estane^® Engineered Polymers provide durability and a rubber-like, soft-touch feel for a range of overmolded industrial and consumer applications. These polyester- and polyether-based grades are soft but still offer high durability and shock resistance for repetitive-use applications such as hammers, drills, nail guns, and other impact tools. Estane provides a thermoplastic polyurethane alternative approach rubber in terms of performance but provide all the processing advantages of thermoplastics.

Plasticized and non-plasticized grades are available in 60 to 75 Shore A hardness. Estane MVT 75AT3 TPU is a workhorse soft polyether material with a 75 Shore A hardness, offering hydrolysis resistance and good cycling. 

Meanwhile, the EstaGrip^® TPU family offers enhanced rubber-like qualities. An 80 Shore A polyether grade delivers greater rebound, abrasion resistance, and excellent chemical and heat resistance for heavy duty applications like industrial tool grips and for durable recreational applications like skateboard wheels.
