Estane® Engineered Polymers

Fabric Coating

The melt-roll coating processing for engineered polymers has become increasingly popular in the coated fabric industry. In cases when the coating weight is above 80 grams/m2 and the use of organic solvents is restricted, the melt roll coating process is put to its greatest advantage.

Various Estane® Engineered Polymer compounds have been developed for rapid trouble-free processing. These special compounds exhibit excellent toughness and flexibility, strong abrasion resistance, and superior resistance to ozone, oil, gasoline, and many solvents. Melt roll coating compounds are available in different colors, with food and potable water approvals, and with electrical conductive and static-dissipative properties.

Due to their unique combination of properties, engineered polymers have seen growing use in a range of industries and have found their niche in severe and demanding applications.
