Calendering

The calendering process converts a polymer melt (carrying a wax for hot metal release) into a sheet or film. This product may be used as is or can be coated onto a fabric. A pre-melting unit, typically an extruder, melts the polymer and feeds it into the gap between the calender rolls. Calendering is commonly used for producing thermoplastic sheet, films, and coated fabrics.

The calendering product slate offers a polyester and polyether grades that range in hardness from 75 to 95 Shore A and offer exceptional chemical resistance.
