Lake County Science Teacher Award
Lubrizol, along with Partners in Science Excellence, is proud to sponsor a program that honors teachers who make a difference in science education. Each year, two Lake County, Ohio science teachers at the elementary or secondary school levels in public, private and parochial schools are recognized for their excellence in teaching science. The selection panel consists of Partners in Science Excellence and Lubrizol employees. Each honoree receives an award of either $5,000 or $2,500 for science-related teaching expenses of their choice, financial support up to $1,000 to attend the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference on Science Education, and an engraved plaque. In the award's 18-year history, Lubrizol has honored over 90 Lake County teachers.
