These awards, which are given annually, recognize science teachers at the elementary school, middle school/junior high or high school levels in public, private or parochial schools for their excellence in teaching science.
Chosen by a selection panel consisting of members from Partners in Science Excellence and Lubrizol employees, winners of the Lake County Science Teacher Award are honored with a monetary prize to be used for science-related teaching expenses of their choice, financial support to attend the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Conference on Science Education, as well as an engraved crystal award and a commemorative plaque for their school.
Lubrizol is pleased to have honored over 90 Lake County teachers since the Award’s inception 18 years ago.
