Thermoforming
The thermoforming process consists of changing the form of a thermoplastic sheet through heat and pressure. Certain thermoforming conditions must be met in order to maintain the required two phase polymer network that provides the ESD (electrostatic dissipative) path in Stat-Rite® polymer alloys. Therefore, the selections of thermoforming conditions are critical for maximizing the electrical and mechanical results.
Performance Features
• Even stretching of material
• Consistent ESD properties during the process – no hot spots
• No significant surface resistivity difference
Lubrizol Conductive Polymers has the right polymers in the right platform for your different electrical, mechanical and cleanliness needs.
Lubrizol Conductive Polymers recognizes that different applications require a blend of key attributes including surface resistance, mechanical rigidity, cleanliness, permanence, recyclability and cost. Any given application might emphasize a different combination of attributes. To address these market needs, we offer a broad line of conductive and dissipative polymer products through our flagship brands of Stat-Rite® Polymer Alloys and Carbo-Rite TM Carbon Alloys in a variety of fillers, host polymers and forms for different performance requirements.
As one of the world leaders in ESD protection, more than anything, we provide the peace of mind - not only with products that consistently meet the highest quality standards, but also with one of the industry's largest networks of technical support specialists. When reliability, value and safety matter most, there is no better solution that one offered from Lubrizol Conductive Polymers.
