Stat-Rite® inherently static dissipative polymer (IDP) alloys were developed to meet these evolving requirements starting in the mid 1990’s for the hard disk drive industry in both extruded sheet and injection molding resin forms. Lubrizol Conductive Polymers has continued this pursuit to develop Carbo-Rite™ conductive compounds and sheet products that expand the performance window for products used in clean room manufacturing to higher temperature, mechanical performance and more chemically resistant base resins resulting in a full range of potential permanent ESD solution.
Pneumatic tubing - Stat-Rite® X-5091 Polymers provides the best combination of ESD performance and Shore A Hardness for pneumatic tubing applications with requirements for higher pressures. TPU formulations provide toughness, abrasion resistance and flexibility for ease of use. If more flexibility is desired, either Stat-Rite E-1140 or E-1150 Polymers provide good ESD performance and toughness for lower pressure tubing applications.
Cleanroom soft wall curtains - Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) IDP Polymers provide the best combination of ESD performance, cleanroom out-gassing and toughness for soft wall curtains. The higher stiffness of the TPU provides for better retention of air pressure within the cleanroom.
